The Log Cabins on Neil's Creek

Serenity Falls

Serenity Falls is located in Watauga County. Named for the Watauga River, whose name is said to be a Native American word meaning “beautiful water,” or “whispering waters.” It is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Boone, 40 minutes to Blowing Rock and an hour from Banner Elk. There are several ski resorts near the cabin including Appalachian Ski Mountain that is a 40 minute drive. The hiking and fishing are plentiful in this very mountainous region. Summers are dreamy as the average is 78 degrees. Winters can be chilly and snow is pretty common in the area. Boone, just northwest of the cabin, averages 35” a year. It’s just magical here when it snows! The cabin is accessible all year round. Though if we get a heavy snow, depending on your vehicle, you might need to park at the bottom of the driveway!

Mountain Springs is nestled on an acre surrounded by a lush forest and fresh mountain streams. Only an 8 minute drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where your adventures await. We invite you to sit back, relax and stay awhile.
